Is There A Difference Between HP Omen and HP Pavilion?

Hey (this is my second post) I have a serious question. Is there a difference between these 2 laptops?!

Hp Omen:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1TS-000D-02NY0&Description=gtx 1050ti laptop&cm_re=gtx_1050ti_laptop-_-1TS-000D-02NY0-_-Product

Hp Pavilion:

--------

Reason for asking is because I heard that the Hp Pavilion is an over heating travesty but i really liked the Omen and was planning on getting that or The Acer Nitro 5 as my new computer. The Omen and the other HP laptop seems to be basically the same model so does the Omen have the same heat issues? because if not I'd love the purchase it in the next couple weeks.

Also one listing has a more detailed listing than the other one.

The Omen 15 is a typo. It's a Pavilion Gaming

Those are both pavilion gaming?

There is a pretty big difference. The only gaming laptop I would consider from hp are the new 2018-19 omens.

The nitro 5 is another laptop with inadequate cooling. If you get the i5 1050 model it will be fine, but the i7 and 1050ti push it over the edge.

If you do go for the pavilion gaming check your local walmart and see if they have any black Friday leftovers. They had a pretty well specced unit made up for their ads and if they have any left they are cheap.

They also usually have so.e of the best prices on omens.

  • I am from Northern Wisconsin
  • did some budgeting and i have about 848$ max,
  • I'd use everyday mainly plugged in at home but i do travel on occasion and I'd take it with me
  • weight or battery life doesn't matter to me.
