2560x1080 60Hz Ultrawide on HDMI 1.4?

Good day!

I'm planning to buy a ultrawide monitor to play Monster Hunter because it just recently been updated to support ultrawide resolution. I'm currently looking at this monitor but it says it only 2 HDMI 1.4 for IO. I watched Linus Media Group's video about HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, and DVI and he said HDMI 1.4 does not support ultrawide, only HDMI 2.0.

 

Should I buy this one instead? It has 1x HDMI 1.4 1x DisplayPort 1.2 and 1x USB Type C but it's $70 more expensive

hdmi 1.4 has enough bandwidth for 2560x1080@75hz

I think it even supports 2560x1440 @60Hz

Exactly. LG wouldnt make a monitor that doesnt support its own resolution...
