Hey everyone, I have just finished putting together my pc, however I wont have a keyboard until tomorrow.

Im currently trying to get it to boot to be able to install windows, and have inserted my boot usb, but I cant get past this screen. I do already have a mouse attached, but pressing it does nothing.

Do I need a keyboard to get past this, or is this a separate issue?

Well, I'm guessing without a keyboard you won't have any way to enter the BIOS and set the boot priority to boot from the USB with the Install media so the motherboard might be getting stuck trying to find a bootable SATA drive.

If you have absolutely no keyboards, but are getting one tomorrow, then just wait to do it tomorrow. Not much point trying to install windows now without a keyboard. Just wait until tomorrow.

my roommate finished gaming so hes lending me his keyboard for a while, im still getting the same window

Are you seeing a BIOS splash screen before that screen pops up? Try pressing Del after you power on the computer and that should open the BIOS and allow you to change the Boot Priority to the USB drive with the Windows Installation media on it, or just press F12 on the BIOS splash screen to open the Boot Menu to choose the USB drive.
You need to boot from the USB to run the Windows installer, then follow the prompts to install it on the storage drive you want to install the OS on.

yep I just noticed the bios flashing by for literally a nano second. I got to the bios but after I select my usb drive i still get back to the same screen. Im not sure of the correct way to actually install windows on a usb stick, can i just stick it in there like that?
