What is better

theblastman21

Would it be better to get a ryzen 5 2600 with a 1050 for now? I am planning on upgrading soon.

or something with a ryzen 3 2200G and then get a graphics card in the future.

I would go with the first configuration but instead of getting the GTX 1050 I would try to look for a deal on a used RX 470/480/570/580.

I've heard in Canada that RX 470s and RX 480s are selling quite cheaply on the used market.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I wouldn't buy a system now and upgrade it in a few weeks, you might as well wait a bit longer and build the final system

75% of what I say is sarcastic

So is the rest probably

I would upgrade in about a year, not a week

Why not go with the first config without the 1050 (I'd recommend against it, they aren't terrible but the value isn't there), then save abit and get a 1060 6gb? With the second config you'd be on integrated graphics for abit anyway. I dunno what the used market is like up there but in the states 1060 6gb are goin for like 150$ and 1060 3gb are 110$ (If you can't stretch the 1050 I'd say a used 1060 3gb is better anyday, and about the same price -here at least)

Thanks

When you say soon what do you mean? Cause if soon is after June then you can also go for zen 2. Consider that option. Other than that, go for the 2600, it's a whole another level from an APU like 2200g/2400g. As for graphics i would advise a rx 570 instead of a 1050. If you can go used from ebay then you could also look for a 970/980/rx380/rx390. Hell i bought myself a used(which performs like a new one) inno3d 1070 for 200 €.
