If I were you I'd get a proper laptop instead because ChromeOS is just really stupid. If you buy a laptop, get a Wacom tablet and no touchscreen. Also I use a ChromeOS device as my personal PC and it's sooooo bad. I've seen so many laptops that are cheaper than a 8GB RAM and touchscreen Chromebook. But if you really want a Chromebook get the HP Chromebook 11 G6.

Don't even think about getting a Chromebook.  Instead get yourself a real laptop.  You can get one at Target, WalMart, Best Buy, and other places.  You will thank yourself down the road for NOT getting a Chromebook.

Not sure why everyone is poo-pooing ChromeOS. I fucking love it, and if everything you do can be found online or in the Google Play Store I'd say it beats a Windows laptop. Try finding a Windows laptop with all his specifications that can get 12+ hours of battery life while staying thin, light, fanless, but still have a decent keyboard, trackpad, and screen.

Agree with Kelvin that Chromebooks are awesome mobile devices. Just purchased my first chromebook and its a lot snappier than any Windows machine, likely because chrome OS is very light, and the battery lasts 13 to 14 hours. I have an Asus (was on sale) but I would've preferred a Lenovo.
