GTX 1070 Cooling

Premilix

Hello. I recently bought a pre-built PC, and it has a GTX 1070 in it. It is the Zotac GTX 1070 Blower Edition (Bulk), and while playing intensive games it becomes really hot. At 100% GPU usage it can reach up to 82C, sometimes even more. I was just wondering if I should water cool it, but I don’t know waterblock to get. So, should I water cool it, or do nothing?

EDIT: Here is the link to my GPU http://www.moddersmarket.com/review/product/list/id/2/6-gpu-mining-case.html

I don’t really know, because it’s capped for some reason.

If I’m not mistaken, at 41 percent (using MSI Afterburner)

So you can’t raise it or have you tried another program?

Nvidia inspector, Asus gputweak, presicionx. Assuming it isn’t bios locked at 41% which wouldn’t make sense.

MSI afterburner allows you to adjust the fan curve. On the panel, you should be able to click the icon that says auto, and you the should be able to manually adjust it because I use that to change the fan speed as well

Update: I just realised that the fan speed while in games is faster, althought the GPU is still very hot.

Manually set the fan to max and see the temp. Does the case have decent airflow and are those fans increasing aswell?

Right now I can’t see what the temperature is, but maybe a few days later I will be able to. Yes, my PC does have a good airflow.

Well I imagine it would have an overlay. I don’t use msi. Been years since I messed with it. Another reason I prefer precision. Good overlay for that.

Should I clean all of the dust with canned air? Maybe the temps will go down
