Why did my Nvme M2 suddenly dropped 4 times of speed over a few days?

This is so frustrating, it makes me wanna hammer down my pc and throw it out of the window. I only built this new PC like 2 weeks ago. Please help.

You can see it on the CrystalDiskMarks, it's a C drive and I have more than 85% of storage.

and nothing else is using the disks? can you verify the current I/O usage on the machine?

your other SSD also heavily dropped in performance, but your HDD didn't, so it makes me think it's some kind of bandwidth issue?

 

did you try resetting your BIOS settings to default? and try removing all USB devices from your PC, except for Mouse and Keyboard.

have you changed anything hardware wise? is it possible you M2 slot is charing bandwidth with something else?

No, what will happen if I reset my BIOS settings to default? Do I lose anything other than having to set XMP again?

you can save your current profile before resetting the BIOS so you could go back to it if you think something is wrong.

 

but there's alot of things you can configure in BIOS, i have no idea what you did specifically for your own needs, but typically it "should" work fine after reset and you just re-enable XMP.

resetted my bios, no difference

Did you get the latest Win10 1809 patch, perchance?

It's not just your NVMe SSD, your SATA SSD also dropped quite a bit in performance according to the userbenchmark results. I would first try resetting your BIOS and see if the speeds improve.

Yes, but it doesn't affect it since I already got the update a long while ago.

What is in the drivers update section? Have you installed any driver updates for your chipset/motherboard/storage recently?

Well, there goes that idea. We have a system at work that got 1809 and nVME perf dropped like a rock.

What about MB drivers, updated the chipset drivers?

No, I have only had windows defender update since 2018/01/09

See if there are updated drivers for your mobo. Couldn't hurt....
