Cant switch from 60hz to 75hz...

Hello everyone,

i just bought the gpu from Sapphire RX580 8gb nitro .

my pc pecs= i5 8600k, 16gbs ram , hydrocooled

and i have an ultrawide gaming monitor at 75hz refresh rate (low level) from lg which supports freesync.

i have connected my pc with my monitor with an HDMI cable.

My problem is that right now my monitor runs at 60hz and i cant switch it to 75 hz.

I found where i have to do this, is a control panel from windows as you wil see at my photo, but the problem is that everytime i choose the 75hz and i press Apply the resolution of my screen automatically changes to 1920*1080, which normally it must be 2560*2018 cause its 21by9 resolution (ulrawide).

I read online that i should probably have a DisplayPort cable in order to run 75hz, but i dont know if this is fully correct cause in LG's site i see that my monitor supports ' 2560*1080 @ 75hz HDMI connection '

PLEASE can anyone help me?

You should be able to run it fine with HDMI. What you may need to do is set a custom resolution in Radeon settings because I had to do that in Nvidia control panel with my monitor to get 75Hz

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Most 75Hz WQHD screens only support 75Hz with 1080p. My monitor does the same.

Either you try to overclock your monitor, but 75Hz won't be possible at WQHD, or you live with 60Hz at 1440p.

Maybe try at your Radeon software first to set the Frequency.

Where on the site does it specifically say that it supports it via HDMI? The bandwidth limitations don't allow higher resolutions at above 60hz.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

You need Display Port I believe for more than 60 Hz anyway.
