1060 3gb, probably because you need more VRAM than what it has? the excess data will be moved to the main memory, which can also be used up. That's when you start getting odd/missing textures.

It's possible that maybe the game files got corrupted from a previous update, the graphics settings in the game might need adjusting, or you might need to reinstall your graphics drivers. Try to uninstall and reinstall the game first and see if that changes things.

Did he overclock his VRAM ?  That will give messed up textures and what not.

No, it might lead to bad 1% lows, but from the language in the original post, it seems that this is a new issue anyway. And, of course, that game he's playing isn't necessarily going to be using Shadow Of The Tomb Raider or Battlefield V levels of VRAM here.

I am, downloaded them after this started happening. Made no difference even after 2 reboots.

Is the issue exclusively in this game or does it also occur in others? Also, is it a new issue?

This is a weird one my friend, cuz its not corrupt textures.  It is just black skin instead of showing the nice graphics.. Weird....  If you want to know quickly what is going on, try a temporary card and try that.  This issue is a video card issue, and if drivers didn't fix it then, it is time to test with another card.  let us know...… Just go to Fry's or Best Buy and get a temp card,, This is the quickest way you will know whats up... good luck

Hold on, pump the breaks... before you go buying another card try the integrated graphics first.  Your computer has a single display port on the main rear panel.  Plug into that and see if it is any better.  Of course you will need to lower your game settings for this but at least you will be able to find out if it is a software or hardware based problem.
Bonus note: your first instinct for a sudden onset problem is never to update to the latest graphics drivers.  If something DID work and suddenly doesn't, you reinstall things to the condition they used to be in, not introduce newer variables into the problem.

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

Im with you on that.  I mean I just said Temp video card from store has 30 days return.  It is the first thing I would do in this instance.  It is not psu or cpu or ram or motherboard the problem is with video card, so I suggested he try a temp card ya know, to quickly see whats up, and if it still shows it then Im stumped big time, or the game is drunk.
