If it's Intel, go for single-channel because it leaves more slots on your motherboard and Intel doesn't give a fuck about memory.

If it's Ryzen, go for dual-channel because dual-channel >>>>> single-channel for Ryzen.

If it's ARM, it should be integrated already, you're not going to install it via a PCIe or GPIO slot are you?

If it's RISC, what?

Ryzen 7 3700X / 16GB RAM / Optane SSD / GTX 1650 / Solus Linux

Dual channel is important for each, the memory clock speed is less significant. At OP, go for the 2400MHz dual channel and just oc the ram

Oc to what speed? Like what is the limit

Depends on the ram, you could probably get it to 2666MHz or 2800. It is the same as a cpu, just keep adjusting the speed till it crashes and the highest speed you got, leave it at that

What platform are you using? If it has access to quad channel, you should probably be using it when possible.

Why are you looking at these ram kits in particular?

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
