Need help with docking

Have a Acer aspire V nitro, this have a usb-c connection  wich supports thunderbolt and usb 3.1. I am connecting a docking on this port but just my mice and keyboard works while the screen is dead. This laptop has intel and Nvidia gpu. Could it be some settings?

Have you checked in display settings if the monitor is being detected? You might just need to set it to extend to the second screen.

Does the computer recognize the monitor?

What dock are you using?

If you are using a usb 3.0 dock it usually needs it's own display drivers.
