New build need help deciding.

xven

So it's finally time for me to rebuild a gaming setup for myself. I have saved 3000-3250$ Canadian and i need help deciding what i will purchase. I will be spending ~1000$ on my peripherals and monitor while having about ~2000$ left. This PC will be for gaming, movies, basic internet use only. I am looking to play games like fortnite, battlefield v , csgo, LoL, overwatch, pantheon rise of the fallen when it comes out....

I know that i will get a Acer - Z35 bmiphz 35.0" 2560x1080 200 Hz Monitor and a Logitech - G502 Proteus Spectrum Wired Optical Mouse with a Corsair - K55 RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard.

After that i am all ears on what to buy... Keep in mind i want to stick to air cooling with most likely a be quiet! - Dark Rock Pro 4 50.5 CFM CPU Cooler.

Help me out choose as i will start ordering parts in less than two weeks.

You will be fine with a i7 8700k coupled with a GeForce RTX 2070, because at that resolution to get 200fps to match your refresh rate is going to be hard.  If you get anything less you can forget about 200fps and the monitor is pointless to buy.

Asus Sabertooth x79 / 4930k @ 4500 @ 1.408v / Gigabyte WF 2080 RTX / Corsair VG 64GB @ 1866 & AX1600i & H115i Pro @ 2x Noctua NF-A14 / Carbide 330r Blackout

Scarlett 2i2 Audio Interface / KRK Rokits 10" / Sennheiser HD 650 / Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse & G915 Linear & G935 & C920 / SL 88 Grand / Cakewalk / NF-A14 Int P12 Ex
AOC 40" 4k Curved / LG 55" OLED C9 120hz / LaCie Porsche Design 2TB & 500GB / Samsung 950 Pro 500GB / 850 Pro 500GB / Crucial m4 500GB / Asus M.2 Card

Do you know any other monitors that would be cheaper at 144hz? I was looking at it since it had great specs and was 700$. I was being pushed towards a 2600x by lots of people, what is your opinion on that?

Im not a AMD guy myself.  Honestly Your fine even with a 6700k or 7700k.  9700k is the sweet spot.  I recommend it, and you can get any video card you want, and there will be no bottleneck.
