Those cards don't have a high hasrate. You won't be abled to mine enough coin in a short enough period of time to make that much profit. Check hashrates here. (i am just pre-assuming they are scrypt coins)

 

Have you checked profitability due to electricity costs? Who pays the pwoer bill? how high is it? Litecoin calculator 

 

If you are interested in allways mining the most profitable coin, be sure to check out one of the multi-pools who do exactly that automatically.

Although, it's very hard to gain much extra profit from coins other than litecoin, even after mining 42 for the first 12 hours I made barely any more than if I was mining LTC, and the time it takes to set-up mining new coins initially takes too long for it to be worth it (imo).

 

And the profitability between coins fluctuates too much to be able to be mining "fastest" on any one coin for more than 12 hours. The exchange rate will also drop because everyone else started mining the coin, so when you come to sell it, you're not that much better off.

 

Your best bet is mining coins for the first hours/days after they come out.

 

Fun fact: 1 42 was worth around $1,100,000 when it was released.

RuecanOnRails is a pro when it comes to mining coins. He can give you in depth advise about mining in general. Most of my mining knowledge is from him. However i don't want to get on his nerves even more, because i have asked him a shitload of stuff, so i didn't tag him xD (he is very patient though)

 

You seem to be very patient aswell if you've mined with a 6670 so far. ;)

Are they really still profitable? I left DOGE behind after the first hype/crash. I assumed it was dead, but how is the profitability now?

well, it's the most profitable coin again( look on coinwarz) 

there have been some moments when the diff was about 420-450 but now it's reduced to 370. also, new coins come and go. there were 2 or 3 coins which were the top 3 for 1-2 days then I've never heard about them. but doge is still in the lead :)
