Did you just buy these parts new from a store or did you buy them used?

Do you have the 8pin CPU power connector from the PSU plugged in to the motherboard up the top left near the CPU socket?

To clarify,

Take motherboard out.

Keep CPU connected

1 stick of ram

Remove GPU

Yeah. Try booting with just the motherboard, CPU, and RAM with the display plugged in to the motherboard for integrated graphics. Keep the CPU cooler attached and plugged in as well. Plug the PSU in to the motherboard 24pin and CPU 8pin.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Hi spotty,

I bought the parts new from a store and the 8-pin CPU socket is connected.

Ok I will try booting with just those components. Thanks
