Need Help With New Build

Hey guys and girls, as of a few days ago I decided to ascend from a standard gtx 1080 to an rtx 2080 ti. Since my ascension things have not been going the way that I have hoped as my frames aren't adding up to what they should be with my hardware. I think that I may be getting a bottleneck somewhere and I just cant quite put my finger on it so, I was hoping you guys could help me out. The results of my benchmarks show that the PC is performing well, but in game fps disagrees. The model of the Rtx card is the AMP Zotac and I play on a 1080p 144hz monitor

The 4790k is a nice CPU that will keep up with most modern cards but even with a hefty overclock it might have trouble keeping up with a card as high end as a 2080ti.

Yeah, the 4790k is a bit dated and would be the bottleneck. Also at 1080p 144hz, you are barely scratching the surface of what the 2080Ti can do.

Might also be your ram? From what I can tell from reading the model code, its only 1600Mhz?

Basically verything is a bottleneck.

 

whats your psu? You might not also be getting enough power?
