It will be good, but depending on the power draw of the card, and the cost of power in your energy, it can be money out of your pocket.

You'll be making about 0.045 bitcoins a day with a 6990 right now. At the current exchange rate of $92, that is about 123 dollars a month. So if it costs you less than 123 dollars to run 435 watts for an entire month, than you'll be making money. You may consider mining Litecoin because you will be making 155 dollars a month (before power of course)

that's a little high from my experience, A 6990 should get around 700Mhash/s, I'm pulling about 900 and only getting about .025 bitcoins a day.

and I wan't to say the exchange rate now is ~$80

Will work for electronic components and parts

I have an HD 7870 that gets 400 M/hash and I get about .025-.3 BTC/day (it is oced to 1170mhz) are you sure you're getting .025?

maybe depends on the pool. I'm part of slush's pool, maybe we just solve more blocks than your pool?

same pool. I have a 5830 and a 7970 mining and I'm getting .023 - .037 a day,

since the ddosing I'm trying out btc guild for a few days, see if that changes anything.

You getting a lot of stales or something? Based on calculators you should be getting 0.044, and that is with the new difficulty increase that happened today.

And also, the price is currently 94 dollars. It has been in the 90's all day. http://bitcoinity.org/markets?currency=USD&exchange=mtgox

I just switched to btcguild and I have 1500+ shares and only 2 stales, I don't remember getting many stales on slush's pool, but I didn't look too hard.

and I was going off the weighted average on mt.gox, and not that cool graph that I just bookmarked.

What's peoples take on Litecoin? I hadn't heard of it until now. I think I'm best to stick to the purchase and sale of Bitcoin like the stock market. If I can make a quick pay-out then that's what I'll do. I don't mine simply because I can't afford a true mining setup.

Just a random question, I personally live in a condo where there is no smart meter, so I pay the exact same fee per month no matter how much energy I use, so I don't really care.

I got 2 6950 HD that I;ve unlocked the shaders for to 6970. Do you recommend running them in Xfire or in stand alone computers to increase my bitcoins per month. Also how much do you think I would get per month if I did bitcoin or litecoin, I;m leaning towards lite because bit seems too volatile and I heard its become way harder due to competition with all the buzz it's been getting the last month.

Also has anyone experience wear and tear on their systems because they running it 24/7 mainly on their GPU? Like should I expect to throw away my GPU after a year of this ?
