Headphones not working

When I plug my headphones into the audio jack of my laptop, a popup comes on the screen asking me about the device I plugged in. I select HiFi Headphone and click OK.

As soon as I click OK, I hear audio from the headphones for a split second before they become mute.

I have tried everything from using separate headphones to reinstalling drivers.

Please help me solve this issue. It has been bugging me for 2 days now.

Yeah Windows 10 is doing weird bs sometimes, click on the audio icon on the bottom right and select Stereo Headphones instead of Hifi and then go back on Hifi, I guess. Or at least that's what I sometimes need to do when ending a Discord call and directly want to go and watch a video on yt, it then puts my Sony WH-H900N on Stereo instead of Hands-free because I use them with Bluetooth and not with the aux cable because the mic only works via bluetooth. It's just Stupid.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.
