Best Thermal Paste

FX 8350, already has soldered IHS, I cant remember what paste I have on it but after running some overclocking and hitting temps in the 80+c's I think my TP needs replaced as my stock temps have risen 6c since playing with Overclocks this week.  I checked my supplies and I have some stuff that came with my AIO's but I don't want to waste my time applying that as Im working on pushing 5.0ghz.  Ive never been into the thermal paste market, or liquid metal market etc - not sure what to use as Ive always just used Arctic Silver, or whatever was handy at the time.

Suggestions?  Cooling with a Corsair H100i GTX AIO.

not really the best anymore, AS5 is pretty old and outdated. also cant belive you would buy an AIO for that chip instead of upgrading to an actiually good CPU...

anyway my fave paste to work with is NT-H1, not the performance king but among the top pastes. the best performing paste is Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut afaik but it seems like a mess to work with to me so i havent really used it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Ive had this rig since 2012 - I just eek out its performance  And I wont replace till it doesn't work.  Youd be surprised now that games take advantage of all 8 cores.  I run all new titles at medium at least, and if they support crossfire - epic settings.

Ive heard a lot about Kryonaut - is this liquid metal?  Ill do my own research but figured Id ask first - Im determined to hit 5.0 ghz on this rig before it retires...or worse case - learn 2 overclock in the process (Im a newb)

Kryonaut is paste, it's the step down from Conductonaut, TG's liquid metal.

IDK much about LM other than that it's conductive... basically will toast your components if you apply it wrong so I'd steer clear of it unless you reeeeeeally need those extra few degrees dropped.

Kryonaut is great stuff.  I've been using it on builds for a while now.  Before that it was arctic silver.

Most are within a degree or two of each other in terms of performance.

Cooling with a Corsair H100i GTX AIO.

wish I had seen this earlier but it looks like you got the Kryonaut which is what I was going to recommend anyway.

It is the 'best' as far as highest thermal conductivity of any non-metal TIM that I've found, though it is a bit runny when new so sometimes I recommend Gelid Extreme because it is almost as good, but thicker.

Liquid metal will "stain" copper. It has no effect on performance and doesn't harm anything when it does. It is a mess however and a total PITA to deal with vs normal paste. Kryonaut is best paste around but is expensive. If you look at any test youll see that as long as you dont buy no name you will do fine. LM is the only way to step it up noticeably past AS5.

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Having used several variants, Arctic Sliver is an old favourite - why change what works? No matter what you buy you will struggle to go wrong, if only for 5c-10c.

I can agree sans my needs - My temps were great before, but I want to push the diminishing returns.  I have a couple ideas for removing some heat from the GPUs Ill be doing a DIY soon on.  Why change?  Got amazing results ($$ per Celsius) and my own personal journey of temps :)
