Hey all,

So I want to start off by saying this is just a thought and probably won't come into fruition, but I still want to hear your thoughts on this idea! =P

So I've been watching videos of LAN parties of old and I had a thought: what if I built a small gaming lan centre in the house for friends (if I had any nearby) but instead of playing modern games on 'state-of-the-art' systems, it would be a retro gaming LAN centre complete with Voodoo 2 gaming systems and CRTs. Again, probably won't do it because of the cost (and space) involved, but if that wasn't a problem - what would/do you think? ;)

NEW Octane - AMD Ryzen 7-3700X, 32GB DDR4, GeForce RTX 3060, 1TB WD Black NVMe SSD (Fedora Linux), 120GB Kingston V300 SSD (Windows)

Hackintosh VW - Intel Core i7-4790k, 8GB DDR3, GeForce GTX 970, 480GB Sandisk SSD (macOS), 240GB Kingston A400 SSD (Windows)

if you have a few friends that like retro games then sure, should be fairly cheap

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.
