gskill

I've had nothing but problems with the gskill RAM I've encountered, even to the point of an identical set, new in box, being two different sticks under the fancy cheap metal heat spreaders....

Probably not if its an intel CPU.  What is the spec of the system, how much RAM do you have and do you need more?

What's wrong with G. Skill Aegis and Intel? Sure you're not thinking of G. Skill Flare X?

Could be an issue with your system, I've always used G. Skill memory and it's been dead reliable.

Nothing, I meant more that intel cpus don't see a big performance jump from faster ram.  That's all.

To the OP,

If you need more RAM then add it, if not then you won't get a performance boost.  I would add DIMMS that have the same speed and timings as your current stuff if you are going to combine different brands.

Tried them with multiple systems. It's the RAM, not the systems. My experience is gkill isn't any good. Yours will differ. It's all good.
