It doesn't sound so bad when accounting for bad Australian prices, but what's the used market like for you?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Well maybe...it's a toss up...you should save a few dollars more and that real price could get you a 2070.

Australian 2070 is over $700 AUS, so that's probably not happening. And besides, nothing wrong with used hardware. I'm still using PC hardware from 2008

Price restrictive nature aside I'm pretty sure the ludicrious prices come from a combination of strict tariffs and lack of stock iirc

The 1070 is an amazing card, it's still future proof because new videogames are not demanding that much power, it's cheap and I play at High-Ultra and 1440p with around 80 fps at worst. You can still play 1080p and get 100 fps at worst so it's an amazing performance. You can't play at 4K right now, and it's something just stupid to lower every single setting in order to achieve 4K, you should buy a RTX 2080Ti and that's definitely a scam. 1440p is the future since (imo) is the best resolution for an everyday usage and 27-32".

But that's just my opinion, the only GPU I would suggest is the GTX 1070TI or the GTX 1080 if the last one is just about 20€ more and that won't happen.

So, the 1070 is still future proof I'd say, no one really knows since there could be a new trend of super settings or a new (non stupid) feature (not like Ray Tracing lol but something like "AI" for face expressions). That's what someone with a GTX 1070 and a 27" 1440p and 144Hz display is telling you, so it's just my experience and my opinion.

What I said...I should get my 4k Samsung 28" in end of this week...It's the same one UHD Linus Reviewed...said it was a good screen. I'll just have turn everything down and or off...until I get a better card...But yeah taking a gamble on a used screen too......
