My old Cpu (I5-4690k) is broken and I want to replace it with an I5-8600k
Through my own research I found the
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07BMVTZDY/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=AYZV6Y3BP701C&psc=1

but I´m unsure if it´s actually a good motherboard and don´t want to waste my money now just to have to buy a new board in half a year.
I was also suggested the Asrock Z370 because you can overclock it well, however it is a lot more expensive than the one I found and also I don´t overclock
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

Other Specs:
16GB Dual Channel DDR3 Ram
GeForce GTX 1060 3gb

hello,

if you go for a B360 board like the one you linked, the I5 will still work, but you cannot overclock so going for the K variant is a waste of money.

you will also need DDR4 RAM, i'm afraid DDR3 won't work with that CPU or motherboard

So the board the I found would be good as long as I don´t overclock?
Which CPU should I use instead of the 8600k then?
Any suggestions for the ram, or should I just check newegg for that?

You cant overclock on it.

Get a B450 Tomhawk board and a Ryzen 5 2600.

Remember to get new Ram.

Kit of DDR4 3000 2*8GB are quite cheap these days

ddr4 2666+ for intel

ddr4 3000+ for amd

check for example a 2600/pro4 or tomahawk b450/16 gigs of ram

8400/b360 or h370/16 gigs of ram

the board listed here is absolute basic, don't expect much from it

Any kind of ram as long as it´s DDR4 300 8gb or should I go for a certain brand for reliability´s sake?
Sorry if I seem like I don´t quite understand the slang used, I just built my pc like 3 years ago and just recently upgraded my GPU but I don´t know any more about building pc´s than that.
Currently what I understand is I should get the MSI Tomahawk B450 with a Ryzen 5 2600 (without the X) and upgrade my ram to DDR4 3000 as long as I buy an amd board, otherwise it´s 2666 right?
