a pc with best specs out there and with ram of 256gb

Best specs for what? Gaming? Workstation? Server? Showing off to friends?

Unless you're a professional who needs a serious workstation to get stuff done, 256gb of ram is complete overkill

RAM disk would be my bet, those have many uses.

I do agree with the OP, advice isn’t needed if they know what they want. They need help getting the hardware as I bet it’s a cballenge.

I think some people are kind of hoping OP won't be disappointed that the crazy amount of ram won't translate to crazy framerates in gaming, it's a misconception that some have

While I'm not familiar with the specific tasks that benefit from a mind boggling amount of ram, I'm sure you've got some mad number crunching to take care of. How does the latency of the kit I linked compare to your current set?

Performance for what? In 98% of workloads doubling your RAM from 128 to 256 won't make a difference.

Telling us what type of work you do would be very helpful, as well as a budget.
