Blender2,79 or later

As a question im going to be using blender to create Minas Tirith how many hours will and should take me to complete with every detail, and is there blue prints, i think there is a rendering system with blender to create areas don't know the interior designs, i think i seen the subway You tube.  Also im going to be using Blam in blender.

Do you have any experience working with Blender or comparable 3D Programs?

 

That's pretty much the main factor here. 

It's like asking how long does it take me to fly a Boeing 747 from Paris to New York? Well, theoretically 8 hours but if you have to learn how to fly a Boeing 747 first then more like 5 years and 8 hours.

Well at the moment i haven't got my pc built yet so i thought you all knew that not to worry, Minas Tirith be my first challenge.

So you have 0 experience with blender or any other software?

You should start somewhere else then....

 

Go to Blender Guru on youtube and follow his blender beginners guide before you think about anything like Minas Tirith....

If it was that easy, do you think people would get paid to make video games or 3D advertisments?

Got to agree with FLoRolf here if you've got zero experience with 3d modeling then I'd start with something far simpler. Maybe start of with just trying to create one of the towers and see how you get on with that first. This'll also give you an idea about how long creating the entire scene will take.

 

Take a look at this vid to see how much detail this guy achieved in around a 100 hours of work in blender

 

Personally If I was making this and had to model all the assets from scratch and texture them, I'd probably want at least a week to do even a half decent job at recreating this and I've got over 15 years experience with 3d modelling.
