quick gpu question?

I wanna install an M.2 SSD in my computer and my GPU blocks the area it'd go, just wondering if I turn off my pc, remove the card and install both again (m.w then gpu) if it'll affect my computer (drivers and all and there's no onboard graphics as a backup). Also, does this apply to other components like the boot drive; turning the system off and removing and reinstalling parts moving them in my case and then turning it on? Thanks ~ Dan

You can remove it just fine. If you don't power up a system, the system wouldn't know you removed anything and thus all settings would remain the same.

You could take the GPU and storage drives and RAM and CPU out and juggle with them, and the system wouldn't know a thing once you put them back in and powered it up.
