Windows 10 stuck on a loop and would get bsod

OfficialRain

Hi!

I'm just having this problem with my Sony Vaio laptop that has been smashed by a colliding roof. The laptop is still works fine from screen and hardware inside and has no problem at all, except for the drive. It still works but windows would refuse to run and has been stuck on a loop. I've got as far to the black screen ring without any logo on it and has been cycling ever since. I also need some data on it because it hasnt been backed up for two months

Thanks

(What I have done so far

Mount in on another pc

Mount in on a Mac

Mounting it on Linux

Plugging it in via external cage)

If the Data is extremely important I would stop doing anything with it and send it to a data recovery company

A roof collided with your laptop ?!?!??!?? How does that happen lol.......

Does the drive make any noises when you try to plug in the external cage? does it show up?   I have heard of people freezing HDs and doing so will give them just enough life to get the data off of them. But from the sounds of things if you are really needing the data you are going to have to send it off to a specialist.

remember back-ups are vital.

I would try booting from another computer and read the data off it as a slave drive. If the drive isn't damaged that should get your data off just fine.

The drive suprisingly doesn't click and does operate but it just doesn't send any output data on other end if that doesn't make sense

If you are using a SATA to USB cable and it is not mounting in windows when you plug it into another PC then you  probably are not going to be able to do much. I am sure there are others on this Forum who are way better at DIY data recovery

But again as NeuesTestament said if the data is important then you should probably send it off.
