A (semi) budget (£500-600) build idea.

lememeinator

I went through a few builds in this price range and pieced together my own list of components:

Hard Drive: WD 1TB - Caviar Blue (http://amzn.to/1dnF7Yu)

Power Supply: Corsair CX500 watt (http://amzn.to/1m1gpMK)

Case: Corsair Carbide 200r (http://amzn.to/1eNm7j6)

GPU: Gigabyte NVidia GTX650Ti 2GB (http://amzn.to/1hLMgng) Gigabyte R9 270x (http://amzn.to/KRrQLp)

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (http://amzn.to/1m1gvUG)

Motherboard: MSI A78M-E35 Mini-ATX (http://amzn.to/1c9FD6d)

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760k (http://amzn.to/1aTOZTO)

The aim for the build would be to allow me to play games such as DayZ, Battlefield 4, and GTA 4 at 1080p at a steady framerate.

This is my first build so any criticism or suggestions are hugely appreciated.

If you recommend an alternative CPU, could you please also point me in a direction for a compatible motherboard?

Thanks in advance :)

I couldn't find (not that I really looked) an ATX motherboard compatible with the processor in the price range. And I went with an ATX case because it would be easier for a first build with a little bit more space to work with.

Id say go for matx case.

Any suggestions in the same price range as the Carbide 200r? I quite like the matte black finish.

Wouldn't mixing together the high end GTX770 with the other lower end hardware cause some problems/wouldn't be a good fit?

it doesnt work like that your would get less performance as the processor cant keep up with the gpu at high end games if you want to play games like minecraft you could get a low end gpu and a middle range i5 it will run ok

That's what I was thinking when I said that they wouldn't be a good fit. And I'm more of a Battlefield/GTA player :)

Messed up editing the post, wrote 290 instead of 270. And I might just go for that build, what are your thoughts on the other build posted by @MikeTz ?
