"extenders" or can I plug in directly to PSU?

Title says it all.

Thinking about getting these from phanteks: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G7VOYYS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2x5iCb0A0YT5Z

 

I have a micro atx case (nzxt h400i) and I think the vga cables have the length to go directly from my PSU to GPU but I'm not sure if I NEED to plug in to the cables my power supply came with to extend them or if I can plug directly into my power supply

Extenders are not recommended in general, as they add another point of failure and more resistance. They attach to the end of the cables from your PSU, and cannot be plugged into the PSU itself.

If you want better looking cables, then find the correct model cables on CableMod. Then, they will plug directly into the power supply and GPU, replacing the original cables.

 

This assumes you have a fully modular power supply, or semi modular.
