It would work but using TVs for PC gaming isn't really ideal. TVs tend to have slower pixel response times for one, TVs also usually do post processing which increases input latency.

I use my LG 4K TV as a secondary monitor and it's awesome for watching movies on but I always switch back to my monitor for gaming.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

yes and no.

Yes . but no mroe than any VA panel Monitor.

MOST TV's are VA, and thats a good thing, not all VA panels are created equal.

Check rtings.com find a TV with low input latency (below 25ms) and fast pixel response (below 20ms)

idealy u would grab a Vizio TV as they tend to have around 12ms pixel response, though Samsungs are also nto bad at around 20ms.

Compared to monitors that upper range is a tad high, but there are plenty of VA monitors around the 10-20 ms mark, it isnt uncommon.

(note, dont judge by monitor specs that stats 1ms or 4ms, its utter BS, and not accurate at all compared to proper review tests)
