2080TIs still problematic? Thinking of getting Strix 011G.

reubenahmed

Local microcenter had 3 left in stock yesterday but only 1 this AM so I just put a reserve on it for now.

I read Asus Strix 011G wasn't as problematic as others, but I feel like it's still a risky scenario because (AFAIK) Nvidia has not announced the problem (which was what? Some said micron memory) has been resolved.

Does anyone have more insight on which of the 2080TI cards are probably safe?

I have a GTX1080 right now. I want to try 120hz gaming. My current monitor is a Dell 3415W, 34" 3440x1440p 60hz. I haven't hooked up the 1080 to this monitor (it was running off a 980TI box). I don't think a GTX 1080 can push 100hz-120hz at 3440x1440p; I was thinking of buying the Alienware 34" 100-120hz monitor and a 2080TI.

Steve Burke from GamersNexus has been working with Nvidia to troubleshoot and resolve these issues, and so far it seems he has been able to fix many problems, you should check out his vids on the 2080 ti.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
