Safe Temps for GTX 1050 TI

Pryme
Go to solution Solved by RollinLower,

i would say anything under 90 is safe, over 90 up to 105 it won't kill the card but some degradation might happen. over 105 and you should get a fire extinguisher

So, i got my new pc (specs): i5 8400 (6 cores 4.0ghz)

8 gb ram ddr 4 2666 mhz

1tb hdd

Nvidia GTX 1050 TI (4GB)

and i overclocked my video cord (up to 1880 mhz) and i want to know what are the *max* safe temps  (now in use of intesive games it goes to 67 C (celsius))

The video card is an MSI

105C, give or take a few degrees is usually what most cards are rated for

My dead R9 390 used to hit 80 C while gaming. Anything from 60 C to 80 C is fine imo. If it ever goes up to 85 C or 90 C, that's when I would start getting worried. I think the cards already have an automatic throttle system for when they get too hot though, so don't worry about destroying it.
