Need help upgrading an 8 year old PC.

Smithsky
Hello, this is something I've been postponing for past 3 years, but I think I'm done. Here is my current build.
CPU: i7 920 ~3.8ghz
Mobo: P6T Deluxe v2
GPU: 560Ti (bought as a replacement for gtx295 which died, had low cash)
8GB RAM
PSU: Corsair AX850 (soon 8 years old)
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 128gb (soon 6 years old)
Case: HAF X

My real question is if my cpu+mobo is something I should updgrade or graphics card would do the trick for now. PC will be used for gaming mainly.
I'd like to buy a 1070, but no clue as to which brand should I pick. As for cpu+mobo - do you think I should hold back for a little longer? I'd prefer nvidia/intel combo, because... reasons.
As for PSU - should I stick with it and wait till it craps on me or buy a new one given its age?

Keep the SSD, PSU and case but scrap everything else.

Personally i’d treat the psu as a 500 watt and scrap everything else,

case is ok but ugly af so if you don’t care what it looks like keep it.

ssd I would not keep as i don’t know how much you have been using it but it could be towards it’s end of life on its read write cycles and it’s probably outdated tech too so is it worth the risk or just spend £20 on a new ssd.
