I.redd.it is official Reddit website?

Hello when I open a video or some gifs in Reddit it sends me to a site I.redd.it. a month ago this didn't happen. Is this site a legit safe Reddit website?

It's just the shortcut url for any hosted images/gifs/videos on Reddit.
