weird fps in far cry 5

so in my system i have a 1700x overclocked to 3.9 ghz and an rx 580 8gb, no matter what settings i have the game on it seems to just barely get over 60fps why is this

( and yes all drivers are up to date)

I would guess...CPU per core performance limitations?

You should monitor your GPU usage while you play the game...if it's not maxed out then it will mean something is holding it back....but 580 is fairly weak overall i would think the ryzen should have no issues feeding it.

the rx 580 is equal to the gtx 1060

Yeah, around 60 FPS would probably be around right, are you running 1080p or 1440p?

im running at 1080p but no matter what settings i have the game at it doesnt seem to improve the fps

It's probably the Ryzen 1700x, I have a 2700x and my FPS doesn't change at all between min and max settings and there is a direct correlation to clock speed and FPS and overclocking my GPU does nothing
