Yes not quite your field being computer gaming and networks, but ever increasing pro audio equipment is utilizing computers and tablets, and most pro audio consuls are digital now, which are just a big computer what’s inside of it, what makes it so cool, what is the best PC or laptop that you can use with Soundboard.  For example I am a volunteer at my church who runs the  soundboard  we use An (TF3 Yamaha digital board) which I have connected to it with a apple express port and wirelessly connect with my iPad I can also plug in a PC, but what would be the sweetest PC for recording audio, as you know as you’re recording audio you’re recording multiple channels at the same time. https://usa.yamaha.com/products/proaudio/mixers/tf/index.html

Not trying to be rude, but seems kind of overkill for the use case, especially considering the way its being used with just an iPad

Im not sure if Yamaha have ethercon, but that's how I recorded some shows and whatever, but I wasn't in charge of that division so Im not sure about the inner workings and how it was all connected up.

I make intelligent lights do cool things

Yeah I’m kind a looking into building a new computer not so much for computer graphics but more so for  audio recording I haven’t built a new computer in a long time OK let’s be honest  Clinton was still president  since then the computers I’ve been buying are pre-built but after watching Linus tech tips I have been  getting an itching to build another computer.

Audio recording is not that demanding a task for a modern pc. If one wants to also use DAW software then something more powerful is needed.

Without some sort of budget and a better definition of how the system will be used, it really isn't possible to outline a system.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
