That's the weirdest .gif I've seen in a while.

Have you seen Game of Thrones? I have a sub-folder in my main .gif folder specifically for epic GoT .gifs.

The new security enhancements we put in place were not optimized for regular forum usage and we enabled the full suite of prevention mechanisms. Since its implementation we've tweaked it to perform better and faster while providing decent (as good as we can get against DDoS attacks, which is not entirely preventable) protection.

Yeah it is now pretty smooth now today. Yesterday I had to go through the DDOS protection by Cloudflare pretty often or it was sometimes pretty slow.

Unfortunately sometimes it is necessary to sacrifice performance for stability. Luckily we weren't too damaged by it, only our pride. ;(
