What air coolers are people using for their 8th and 9th gen Intel CPU's?

Arct1c0n

My trusty and solid Theramalright True Spirit 140 Power is ready to retire from cooling my 4790k Devils Canyon and move onto greater things, namely a 9700k setup in the next few weeks. I still don't really care for AIO/CLC water coolers for a variety of reasons.

Not likely I will be overclocking my new setup to prevent frying another mobo like I did with my 4790k the other week. That being said, I'm curious what other HSF units are other people of the air cooling persuasion using on their modern intel setups?

Something like Cryorig H7 or Dark Rock 4 will give plenty of cooling.

Me ol' 212 evo does the trick nice

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

More so surprised at how well it's doing, 4.6GHz OC on my 8086k

I'm putting my setup back together tomorrow, but it shouldn't be that hard to believe. I have two 120mm fans on it, I'm using MX4, and my voltage is like 1.16, which is pretty low.

Built a 9900K system in October and slapped a NH-D15 in there, it's doing a great job keeping it at a steady 5.0GHz.
If you're overclocking further you'll want to look at 360mm AIO or custom, that chip is a toasty one.
