   I just saw this and laughed. For once a content rights holder sad no to Hollywood money. I wish more were bold like this. I feel like content creators and right holders often sell out in attempt to get rich quick, but it feels me with hope to see someone smaller saying no. Hopefully this will lead to a new wave of vg movies that actually tell the story that made the game good.

I'm sad that we won't get a Metro 2033 movie, but happy we won't get a garbage one set in DC, with only the barest of remaining similar plot elements.

 

That being the setting of "post apocalypse, everyone lives in the subway". That's really all they were thinking of making.

If you were going to make a post nuclear apocalyptic movie that takes place in Washington DC, at least make a Fallout movie.
