Hello everyone , the last week i bought a new pc (ryzen 2400g , asrock b450 pro4 , thermaltake 600w rgb psu , hyper x 8  3000mhz ram ,toshiba 1TB hdd )

assembled everything and jumpstarted the pc,the fans started spinning for 2 secs and then the pc turned off , today i  realized that everytime i start the pc with the 8 pin power connector of the cpu unplugged the pc stays on ,could it be that the power supply i am using is not capable of powering the cpu ? could it be that the cpu is dead ?(i also noticed that the cpu heats up so i dont think that the problem is the cpu)

Thank you for your time.

Not enough power? It got RGB, no worries... just kidding

If this is a power problem, disable the power of your videocard and try again i think. Cause than you have more power to use for your cpu. If it stays on without videocard but with cpu, it is the powersupply i think

Otherwise i think indeed the moterboard

This is almost always caused by a short somewhere.  Check all connections.  Check CPU socket for any bent pins.  Check all jumper cables for proper orientation and double check all SATA and PCIE plugs and drives.  Also make sure motherboard standoffs are correctly inserted and not shorting anything.  Protip: cases with volcano mounts causes all sorts of problems.

The first time you boot a new computer, it can take longer for the motherboard to initialize, up to 10-20 seconds.

Plug the cable back and start your pc and wait for a minute or so and see if something changes.

If not, unplug your computer from mains socket and then remove the battery for around 10 seconds, then put it back in. That should reset any settings in the BIOS that could prevent you from starting the pc.

Disconnect everything from the motherboard ( hard drive, extra fans besides cpu fan) , connect your monitor to the motherboard video ports and you can go further and use just one memory stick... basically you want to reduce everything to the absolute minimum to figure out which part you add messes the configuration.

Unplug pc and move memory stick between slots and plug back and try to start and see if that changes..

Don't see a led display with numbers (error codes) but the board may have a few tiny leds somewhere which may turn on if there's cpu, memory or video card errors etc etc... check manual.

edit:  make sure you have standoffs between the case and the motherboard and make sure the standoffs are only under the holes for screws on your motherboard . remove the standoffs that aren't needed otherwise you can short contacts on the back of the board.

double check the io shield, make sure those springy clips didn't get into connectors to short things out. make sure the io shield is properly press-fit into the case and that those clips don't screw things.

double check the wires going into the connector for power on switch, reset switch, hdd led etc ... if you put the power on led on the reset swich you could keep the pc under constant reset or silly stuff like that.

Connect just the power on switch and leave the rest out until things work, then add stuff.
