I´m about to replace my old 3930k rig with a new computer and currently waiting for the case to arrive before I can start building it.

Here are the new parts that I got for the new computer:

-i7 8086k that I bought at launch day.

-Asus Z370-H Gaming,from the Bargain Bin , 40% off

-Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 3000 MHz , Black Friday ,30% off

-Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe SSD 500GB , Black Friday, 30% off

-EVGA Supernova G3 650W psu, Black Friday , 40% off

-Corsair Hydro H150i PRO

-Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X Satin Black

-Corsair LL140 RGB fans x3 , Black Friday , 40% off.

I´m gonna move over my EVGA GTX 1080 and 2 Samsung 850 evo ssd´s to the new computer.

And also my Xonar Xense sound card with my Sennheiser PC350 headset.

Here is the first boot!

I´m using a stock Intel cooler and a random Corsair CX430M power supply just for this.

I had to update the Bios from 02-something to 1704.

I found a set of Phanteks cable extensions too. They are black and red, although they look more like LTT orange in the picture ;)

The keyboard I used for the first boot :). My first keyboard from my first computer back in ´00. I saw some guy trying to sell one of those for like $500 ?

I´m gonna use the old computer as a storage server and run Plex on it. Probably also to watch Twitch and Youtube while gaming on the new one.

I have an old R9 290 for the old computer.

That's a pretty old sound card. Is it better than the onboard sound solution of your motherboard?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I really don't know. I'll have to test that to find out.

It has 6.5 mm jacks for both headphones and microphone, so does my pc350 headset.

The feeling of the case with its thick aluminum panels is solid and the build quality is excellent.

In she goes :)

There´s plenty of space.

EVGA GTX1080 FTW DT with the Powerlink and my old Asus Xonar Xense soundcard.

3 Corsair LL140 fans.

The not so funny side of things :( But there is plenty of room behind the two panels to hide cables.

I´ll have to do something about the CPU power cable. But no one will ever see that side anyway.

The finale :)

You can hardly see the glass side panel.
