ESS SABRE 9118 DAC integrate it Audio on motherboards

Is it worth getting a motherboard with  ESS SABRE 9118 DAC will I be able to hear the difference in gaming with my 2.1 speakers will I be taking advantage of ESS sound chip on everyday use?
