B450M-DS3H motherboard can't use cpu_led header for RGB fusion?

Go to solution Solved by Klemmbrett,

image.png.024cd86f8e8590b65aaf05872ee9822e.pngand 2 clicks further your directed to learn more about fusion to their supported motherboard listhttps://www.gigabyte.com/mb/rgb/Product and also their supported led strips fans ram sticks https://www.gigabyte.com/mb/rgb/ready. Again its dubious marketing but seems like ur way to go is bios settings and not the app.

Hi, i am using Gigabyte B450M-DS3H motherboard. I am unable to use Gigabyte RGB FUSION app to control my rgb fans, using its LED_CPU header. I downloaded the rgb fusion app, but i am not seeing basic, advanced or intelligent options. But i can control the graphics card's rgb. When i approached to Gigabyte support they replied

"This MB doesn't have MCU(a chipset), so RGB fusion app can not control the CPU_LED port.
But you can change the fan's color in BIOS.

Thank you."

I have also attached motherboard manual and a screenshot of rgb fusion app.

Please help, i want to know the truth if i can use rgb fusion app to control my rgb fans or not.

Well that´s already the answer go to your BIOS and check what options you got.

That doesn't explain why i don't see basic, advanced and excellent options on rgb fusion. That does not explain why Gigabyte website is saying b450m-ds3h supports rgb fusion. I can control the rgb via the rgb controller came via the pc case, or via BIOS but as the options are limited i want to use it via rgb fusion. I have attached the motherboard manual as well.

image.thumb.png.166e21a894159128b35fbcbed8497c52.pngThey do not list your Motherboard under B450 supported devices for the app. Maybe RGB fusion is a brand name so the motherboard bios/uefi has some option for RGB control named fusion rgb ? i don`t know. maybe the chip that the support mentioned has something to do with it ? So my suggestion is that there RGB is called fusion rgb and that fusion rgb != fusion rgb app.

Just reviewed your motherboard manual and it only says something about Fusion in the explanation of BIOS/UEFI screens so yea maybe dubious marketing but it explains everything so you can use bios options for your fans or rgb strips and your app for gpu.

you gotta go into the motherboard RGB settings and then clisk on the second RGB/RED line and after that on the right you shall have option like static and other things like that after that chose a color and enjoy!

And  I am doing this with a RGB strip that isn't made for computer but for desk with a wall plug and an IR remote and all the thing ;)

Well, i have kind off the same problem I have my aio connected to the mobo led pin. It is shown that I have led connected to the mobo however I am stuck with only one affect which is static and few colors options. By the way my motherboard is the gigabyte b450m gaming. I am wondering if I get rgb hub will I get more affect to choose from the rgb fusion software.
