Ryzen. Good budget VR system I can throw away when the 3000 series is out. Thx

Thx much guys...very very informative and I hope helpful. (But that depends on my tech ability lol)

I have a couple of questions.

*How can I find gskill or corsair (bcause I hear good things about them) ddr4 with 3000mhz or more with fast timing...like 10-10-10-## or 16-16-16-## etc....i tried to look but it's hard to tell if they are compatible with the other stuff

I'm willing to spend the money on this if I can use it for the next rig.

Also I was looking at the NZXT h700i case in black and blue. Looks sharp and is easy to put together but the 64,000 question is the airflow very good?

I plan to get at least one closed loop radiator.

Sent back my overpriced intel parts today! ?

B350 boards already struggle with 8 core chips in terms of VRM temps. Would highly suggest you get an X470 and save yourself the hassle of a potentially VRM throttling 12 / 16 core Ryzen 3000 chip.

In fact, I would say that you're probably better off waiting until X570 since that will work the best with Zen2 chips.

So your B350 / Ryzen 2600 will BOTH be placeholders. Don't count on it running a Ryzen 3000 chip well.

imo I would say no 300 series msi boards. I would rather get the b450 version or the pro4 from asrock as cheap temporary boards. The taichi ultimate is the best board you can get on x470 rn, but that one is 250 dollars. tho the fatal1ty is really good too, and only 115 after rebate

The b350/b450 tomahawk boards that the least shitty vrm of all b series boards, they feature an actual 4+2 with a heatsink so it can handle an 8 core chip without throttling.

It's rumored that the 16 core chips will be x570 only for vrm reasons, I would say that a placeholder b350/b450 tomahawk would be in his best interests with a 2200g or a 2600 depending on how much he wants to spend for now.

Well, one: they almost cost as much as the fatal1ty x470, with way better vrms. And I can't remeber what exactly they did, but they made some huge mistakes with the 300 line, up to the godlike
