I ham considering 2 options: xiaomi mi box s or the sheild tv. i really like both and accoring to linus's video on the mi box, there are no downsides for me (i dont care about high end audio). the advantages I see for the shield is the higher end proccessor, access to geforce now, better support, more storage, plex server, better remote and a controller.

 

advantages for mi box s: MUCH cheaper, chromecast ultra built in. idk if its worth the extra $140 for those features.

I'd get the Mi Box. I've had awesome experiences with Xiaomi products. If they were the same price or a less-than-$50 difference between both products, it would be a no-brainer to get the Shield TV, but considering it's a $140 difference...yeah. Get the Mi Box.

If you cared about high speed video, the mi box doesn't have a lan port, it rely everything on the wifi connections.
