There is nothing wrong with using a tv as a monitor.

It does not have anything to do with your PC crashing.

You probably have instability with your PC or a driver issue.

Try uninstalling your GPU drivers with DDU and reinstall them.

Has a high end PC that probably dad paid for, calls dad stupid. Show some respect toward your dad, you entitled brat.

About your problem though: it's hard to make out what you wrote and what you've tried, since there's no form to your text and no punctuation. Keyboards are more than WASD. Use them fully. Proper text form could also help you in school.

Sorry I get sometimes upset when things don’t work I was saying when I turn on my pc it’s fine but when I play games it crashes and the display crashes sometimes when it crashes my whole pc turns off and sometimes the pc display crashes and the pc makes a loud noise and it is still running so what can I do

Try your tv like your dad said so we can cross stuff off the list.

A lot of things can crash a computer. That's why you need to picture things as a list of items your PC is made of and connected to. Then you see if you can replicate the problem with these specific items. If you connect it to the new TV and the crashing still occurs, then you can cross your old TV as the source of the problem and we can focus on your PC, Windows, drivers and whatever else.

Also a side note: Getting frustrated when problems occur is easy, but only causes more problems. Accept the fact that problems do happen. In life in general and especially with hardware and software. How you react to these problems is directly correlated to how people decide to help you or not. Have fun repairing and troubleshooting and learn something so you can help others in the future.

Thank you for the help but if the crashing occurs on the tv in my room Becuase the Nivida graphic drivers are up to date and the pc has good specs so could it be the refresh rate on the tv as it’s an old tv?

I never heard about a refresh rate crashing a pc. If the crashing occurs on your tv, reinstall the nvidia drivers as them being up to date makes no difference if they are corrupt.

Can you not keep on asking if? Microsoft has built in drivers which windows will fallback to when you uninstall the nvidia drivers. And no it won’t fry your pc.
