Is the Acer Predator X34 ultrawide the best of the bunch?

 

Also is it a good idea considering I play a lot of retro games that aren't really always 1440p friendly? I currently have the '27 144hz ROG Swift.

 

Also relevant specs: i7 7700k, 1080Ti, 32gb ram. 

Desktop 1: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb DDR5 @ 6000, Asus 5090 Astral OC, x670 Asus Strix

 

Basement TV Desktop: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb DDR5 @ 6000, 4080 Super, x670 Asus Strix

 

Laptop: Dell G3 15 - i7-8750h @ stock, 16gb ddr4 @ 2666, 1050Ti 

 

Laptop 2: Intel i7 12700k, 3080TI 32gb DDR5 Ram

x34 is one of the best ones you can currently get. I'd probably wait for the PG35VQ if you're gonna spend that much on another display, being that you already have a decent one

There are some with 120hz now, but I have the X34 myself and I don't see upgrading any time soon since it is a marvellous panel.

 

it helps the fact I don't really see the difference past 100hz much any ways~

HDR seems worth it though.
