well i dont really like to see my cpu's temp increase to 50c+ or 60+ so thats why i want to use a liqued cooler even if its 100% unnecessary :D

so as i wonder, can you tell me the temp range for my i5 8400 if i use liquid cooler? thank youu

with a non liquid cooler they will be within that range

with an aio it will only be a little bit lower save the money and go with an air cooler

Hello my name is Adam, i never knew Linux has a Tech Forum.

I am going to build my First PC, ( i did some Offline Consultation with a Local PC Builder )

And here are the informations i got

He suggested that i should be getting an i5-8400 because it is Rare in my Country and the Performance is good(?)

-and he also told me to either use an RX 580 or GTX 1060 ( i dont know which one is better but i love amd so maybe ill get RX 580 instead (?))

He stated that

1. Nvidia is Good for Gaming

2. RX 580 is Good for Rendering

He said Both cards are Good for Streaming

but My Question is, Which is the True Best GFX Card for Streaming?

My Budget is like 1000$ more or less, And here in My Country i can get Lots of Stuffs

so Here's my Build

Processor : i5-8400
CPU Cooler : FrostFlow 240L
Graphics : RX 580 / GTX 1060
Motherboard : MSI H370 Gaming Pro Carbon
Memory/RAM : V-GeN Tsunami 2x8GB 2666MHz
Power Supply : Not sure, But it would be 750w
Storage : Samsung EVO 860 250GB
               Samsung EVO 970 250GB
               WD Blue 2TB

so From my Components above, can anyone Recommend a Power Supply?

and im also Going to Play & Stream / Edit Videos for my Instagram.

can i have some Feedbacks about my Build? ( it is not 100% For Gaming, it is also for Multimedia; eg: Video Edit / 3D Rendering

Thanks in Advance,

You rock People!

and you too Linux

One: it's linus.

Two: I would recommend looking for a 450 watt+ tier c+ psu. Here you have the list

I would recommend looking into ryzen for streaming. 3000+ mhz dual channel is highly recommended for that

oh alright, but is it safe to have a 450watt psu with at least gtx 1060/rx580 gpu and medium end intel i5/ryzen?

and what are the differences between 750watt and a 450watt psu?

yep, even the highest end systems can utilize about a 650 watt psu. that system is going to consume around 250-300 watts. Quality matters here. not the wattage or effecienty

i read on other forums that you need at least 100-200wattage more than your usage, like if its 250-300watts i need to get like 500-600/650

is it true?

not really. It's the quality that matters. if the difference in price is small between a 550 and a 450 go ahead, but you don't really need it at this config

thank you

for powering systems that are:

running dual gpus

threadripper and i9 with major ocing

some workstations with alot of quadros

the cards should be about the same in almost every aspect

a 580 would probably be best for your needs since it si a bit cheaper and good for the 4 things you sudgested

also what country are you from?

and about the Liquid Cooling, on what temperature will my cpu get under load, and idle?

thanks, ill resolve this once it is answered

thanks again ❤️

you dont need an aio for that cpu you can just get a cheap cpu cooler like an hyper 212 evo since that is a locked processor and you cant oc it
