So im building a pc for architectural 3d modelling (Rhino 3D, Revit) and rendering (vray), but ill also be using it as a gaming pc.

Tossing up between the Intel core i7 9700K and the Ryzen 7 2700X. Any suggestions? is it worth paying the extra for intel plus the third party cpu cooling?

2700x over the 9700k is a small sacrifice and much better bang for your buck. The 9700k will definitely give you a slight increase performance in AC type softwares but its ultimately up to you.

If budget doesnt matter, go with the Intel chip and get a nice noctua cooler.

Looking up Rhino 3D and Revit PC req I would rather choose the Ryzen 7 2700x.

To be an expert is to know more about less.
