vertical mounting for gpu

mxk
 Share

I wanted to show off my gpu that I spent the rest of my money on, since it has some light RGB that syncs with my AIO. I wanted to do the cablemod bracket for vertical mounting, but its on the expensive side to be quite honest, and I wouldn't be able to use my 2nd monitor since it's DVI and the cablemod bracket needs special cables that are only HDMI and DP (but no special DVI cable). Is the cooler master vertical bracket compatible with any ATX case? If so I'd rather get that..

You'd have to cut your slots out to use the Cooler Master one.

I don't fully follow. You mean take all the slot covers out?

If I can scrape more money together for it I'll get the cablemod one, though it seems to go out of stock all the time and I honestly don't know where to get it

You'd have no way to plug your monitors in without modifying the case.

With the @CableMod mount, your DVI cable can be fed though the opening BEFORE you permanently install it since there's a gap, so that shouldn't be an issue. How do I know this?

I did it for a little while when I was using a Dell monitor temporarily.

Did you mean to quote me? If so I have no idea what the context for this is.

Good to know! Now I'll never have to give up my Dell 5:4. Played Minecraft on it, and now it's my second monitor. LeGeNdS nEvEr DiE
