so me and my freind built this pc not too long ago and im noticing a wierd...thing...

the ram is wierdly acting up. never really getting over 80% and seem to bottol neck games.

given its only 8gb for now. but...it really acts up gpu in game wont go over 60% anyhow.

same with cpu

 

any clue why?

its a ryzen 1600

with a r9 290

and a gigabyte b350 gaming mobo

ram is crucial 2400mhz

 

notin is overclocked yet.

mobo: asus tuf pro x570

gpu: 3090 FE 

ram: 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z 3200 c14

psu: Antec HCP1300w Platinum (overkill i know...got it for a good price)

 

thats all needed right?...i didnt study for this exam....

what games do you play?

 

this maybe a surprise to you but i'm yet to find any game that is so demanding that needs more than 8gb of ram. probably not a ram issue. but besides, close other programmes and try again. maybe it's your chrom.

why everybody post the spec of their rig here? i dont! cuz its made of mashed potatoes!

I know thats why im so suprised.

I played bfv.

Thing is if anything eles uses ram it still stays at 80% use the game just loses fps

 

cpu: 5950x

gpu: 3090 FE 

ram: 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z 3200 c14

psu: Antec HCP1300w Platinum (overkill i know...got it for a good price)

battlefield v is a game thats heavy on cpu and love threads.  windows 10's memory management is so good you shouldnt worry about it, the only thing is add more ram.

 

also what is your "loses fps" mean? does it low average fps? good fps but stutters? i mean R9 290 is a old graphic card you should really consider lower the settings.

Avrage is 120 it just stuters.

R9 290 still kicks ass xD

wow you really lower that, stutters means bottleneck in cpu and ram. probably ram up the settings a little bit to near 60fps and se if it resolves.

playing on mid settings didnt lower allot.

and nha we just ordered him another ram stick...so it id gess fix it

Hi raising this topic back up. Got an extra ram stick for a 16 total pc still acts wierd with wierd

Stutters in games wan somthin like youtube is running a video.

Cpu and gpu arent at 100% tho
